All parents/carers of children at Forestdale Primary School are de facto members of the PTA. The PTA aims to support school activities, organise social events and to raise valuable extra funds for the school used to enrich every child's education.

If you would like to become more involved with the PTA, or have a fundraising idea, please speak to one of the Committee members or email: pta@forestdale.croydon.sch.uk.

Funds raised help to buy additional equipment for the school such as the Beep bots used in the Infant classes, the outdoor learning gazebo, buddy benches, goalposts, reading books for all classes and table tennis tables. In addition the PTA has paid for visiting theatre groups, crackers for Christmas lunch, oranges to make Christingle decorations, and other activities.

Parents can support the fundraising activities by helping run events and by donating cakes, chocolate and bottles for the various tombolas and discos. Events organised include discos, Christmas, Easter and Summer Fairs, pantomime tickets, fireworks display. Details are on the school calendar and more information can be found on the PTA Facebook page, Forestdale School PTA.

Autumn 2016

Thank you to everyone who came to the Christmas Fair. It was a fun and festive afternoon and raised over £2000!  The reindeer were a huge hit with parents and children.

This term, with your help, we have raised a phenomenal £4543.63! Thank you to everyone who has supported us.

Our fantastic fireworks display raised over £2000. It was a great evening and generated a lovely community atmosphere.

We are delighted with the new gazebo which provides additional outdoor learning space and is an asset to the playground. It is the perfect place for parents and children to sit and read or enjoy a chat.

Summer 2016

The PTA has supplied these colourful Buddy Benches for the two playgrounds. We hope that children who are feeling unsure who to play with will use them to find friends.

Spring 2016

We raised an amazing £5000 for the school last term. Thank you for your fantastic support. We are buying buddy benches and signs for the playground, and are saving for a large gazebo.

Our Easter Fair was a big success. Thank you for all the chocolate donations from Mufti Day.

The Fancy Dress Disco raised £971 and the Mother's Day Gift Selection raised £350. The children enjoyed choosing their beautifully wrapped gifts for mothers and other special people.

Autumn 2015

We have had a great start to the new year. The disco raised over £1000 - a fantastic amount. The Saturday working party did a great job tidying up the garden areas and painting fences.

Fireworks Display

Thank you to everyone who attended our fantastic fireworks display.

"Best display around here. PTA deserve a pat on the back. Absolutely brilliant" - Grandparent of child in Year 2.

Bulb Planting

We had great fun helping each child plant a spring flowering bulb in the grounds. We are looking forward to a lovely display of crocus and daffodills in the spring.

Festive Fayre

Our fantastic Festive Fayre raised over £1400 for the school. Thank you to everyone who came and supported this fun-filled festive event.
