Elm & Poplar to NMM & Cutty Sark
We have arranged to take the Y3 classes to a workshop ‘The Great Tea Race’ on the world famous tea clipper Curry Sark at Greenwich on Thursday 7th March. We shall also visit the National Maritime Museum. This visit will form part of our topic work on ‘Around the World in 80 Days’.
We will travel by public transport (tram and train) to Greenwich. Children will need to bring a packed lunch and to have a waterproof and warm coat. We shall be on the outside deck for part of the workshop. We shall leave school at 8.15am and expect to back by 3.45pm. Children should arrive in school at 8.00am for registration.
The cost of this trip will be £5.00, which covers the cost of the workshop. Transport is free. If your child is entitled to free school meals and you would like a packed lunch provided for him/her, please let your child’s class teacher or school office know as soon as possible. We will need parent helpers for this trip; please could you indicate on ParentPay. We are always very grateful for our helpers.
